Money.me

Money.me is a web app concept born during the Google-hosted GDSC AI Hackathon. Over the course of 24 intense hours, my team of four—comprising students with backgrounds in economics and engineering— developed an AI-powered tool aimed at educating users on personal finance and smart investment strategies.

While the main goal of the challenge was to create a concept, we took it a step further and built a working demo to test its feasibility. Money.me features an AI-driven chatbot that responds exclusively to finance-related queries, providing users with personalized guidance on managing their finances.

In addition to answering questions, the tool allows users to upload contracts for the AI to analyze and compare with other options, offering tailored suggestions. The chatbot assists in narrowing down user needs by asking follow-up questions and highlighting potential risks, ensuring users make more informed, responsible decisions.

It goes beyond just providing advice—it also presents alternatives using easy-to-understand visual comparisons and explains the financial concepts behind each option. Money.me offers a clean, user-friendly interface and employs gamification techniques to keep users engaged. The business model is designed to be self-sustaining, with the web app generating revenue through sponsored financial insights.
